Well, as much as I love Venice, sometimes you have to take the show on the road - literally. I'm leaving the cool summer breezes by the beach to feel some of the real good old fashioned summer heat the rest of the country has been rolling with ... and see a whole bunch of mind-blowing music while I'm at it. But first I had to head home to Minnesota.
The lakes are such a part of me and I hate to go too long without seeing them. Every time I fly in, those mirrors reflecting the beauty of Minneapolis shine up and welcome me home before anyone else does.
Then I see the family and friends who have been there for me since the very beginning. I touch those roots and feel stronger every time. Which is a good thing, as it's about to get real crazy out on the road.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to my family and the Krsnik family (also my family) for throwing down a fantastic shindig, to both welcome me and send me off to new adventures with that strength, and a giant smile on my face and in my heart.
I love you always, Minnesota - the place and the people.
