Abundance!

The word that has been coming to mind when making toasts to this new year, and when answering people that ask you what you hope for is abundance. Abundance. Abundance in all areas. For all People. I don't know why, it's just the word that keeps coming to mind.

Then, after watching my first beautiful sunset of the year falling into the Pacific, I was walking back home and saw this painted on a fence on Windward ...

Abundance! Stephanie said it's been there a long time, but I only just saw it on this first walk of the year, after repeating it over and over during the festivities ... so I was tripping.

I'm a person who looks for - and pays attention to - signs. So, everybody better just get prepared for all the ABUNDANCE coming your way in 2015. It's happening.

Be Kind At Heart Art

Today was one of those rare Mondays that you don't have to be anywhere special by any certain time ... and everyone else does. Such a total blessing to go to the empty beach on a Monday in mid-October, to swim and sun with two great friends who also didn't have to be anywhere at an exact time (super rare).

Coffee, fruit, conversation, trance-out to the waves ... then as the light shifted to golden, wrap it up and head to Hinano's in mid-afternoon, with our choice of stools (exceedingly rare) at the bar for their famous burgers. And a Red Stripe. Completely happy in the moment, listening to classic rock as the sun streamed in the windows.

Feeling super fulfilled, we got on the bikes and headed back for the path ... to be greeted by this mural that kind of states the obvious, but always good reminders.

To thine own self be true. True happiness is only the present circumstance. The right thing and the hard thing are often the same thing. Be kind at heart.

The girls on the wall don't look all that happy, but I was. Am. What a perfectly great day. Thanks AGAIN, Venice.

Good Question ...

I was zipping around in that invigorated Back To School kind of feeling you get the day after Labor Day ... Gotta get things done, new beginnings, stir it up mode ... when I saw this graffiti outside of Abbot's Habit that stopped me in my tracks.

After giving it a moment of thought, the answer was kind of "No". But darned if it didn't propel me back out into the mix to focus on things that ARE important (to me, anyway), and even make a few phone calls to PEOPLE that are important (MOST important).

So I share this question with you as you get back into the hustle and bustle of Autumn life ... and hope that it makes you stop to ponder it all for a moment too - and maybe make a few little adjustments to line yourselves up toward "Important" (to you).

DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING! (That's a School Bell).
