Jack Prichett Photo Exhibit Opens At Hal's - Night Vision: The City After Dark

Hal's Venice was jam packed last night for the opening of an exhibit of photography by Jack Prichett. A longtime capturer of Venice images, Prichett was showing work from his series called Night Vision: The City After Dark, which were all metal plate images of Venice and L.A. proper.

Guests mingled and schmoozed in the main room at Hal's on Abbot Kinney, as our favorite waiters walked around with trays of nibbles, like sliders and little shots of tomato soup. Yum.

Other Venice artists were on hand, like the wonderful Amy Kaps (fresh from her performance at Red Cat!), who introduced me to Mr. Prichett, who amazingly I'd never met before.

That's a cool thing about living in Venice ... you think you know just about everyone, and then you go to something, and you meet a whole new crew of wonderfully talented folks whose paths you just haven't crossed yet. A new friendship around every corner.

It was a BIG weekend, so my Hal's visit was brief, but I left having seen more cool art in Venice (on display at Hal's Abbot Kinney for the next month), and with new friends to boot.

Thanks again, Venice. XO
